IRA Accounts

Saving for retirement can happen in many ways. Even if you have an employer based 401(k) plan or pension you may still be able to use an IRA (Individual Retirement Account) to enhance your retirement savings We offer both Traditional and Roth IRAs. More people than ever before are able to contribute to IRAs and benefit from the great tax advantages. So regardless of what stage of life you're in, an IRA at Advanced Financial FCU can help.

IRA's For Every Stage Of Life

  • Starting your career
As you start your career, start building your retirement plan. A Roth IRA can provide you with tax-free withdrawals when you retire. Roth contributions are made after taxes so withdrawals during retirement are not subject to taxes. Contributions to a traditional IRA may reduce your taxable income while you are working and while withdrawals during retirement will be taxed, you may likely be in a lower tax bracket.
  • Planning as a couple
We can help both you and your spouse or partner start IRAs. Use individual IRA accounts to add to your retirement savings and make part of your long term retirement plan.
  • Flexibility for a growing family
Your IRA investment can potentially be used for a first-time home purchase or qualified educational expenses.
  • Securing your retirement
If you're nearing retirement, or even if you're already retired, consider a safe, secure credit union IRA. As a bonus, there are increased contribution limits if you are age 50 or older.

IRA accounts are separately insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration share insurance fund (NCUSIF).
