Important information about procedures for opening a new account.
To help the US government fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, Federal law requires all financial institutions to obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens an account.
What this means for you: When you open an account, we will ask for your name, address, date of birth, and other information that will allow us to identify you. We will need to scan your government issued photo ID, generally a driver’s license or non-driver ID card. We may also ask to see other identifying documents. If the address on your photo ID is not your current address, you will need to provide proof of address such as a utility bill or credit card or bank statement.
You will need a $5.00 minimum deposit to open your account. Accounts can be opened at any branch during our regular business hours.
New Business Account members will need to provide the letter from the IRS assigning an Employer Identification Number along with documents such as a business license, articles of organization, corporate resolution naming authorized individuals, operating agreement, and business registration. Business accounts will also need to provide information on beneficial owners. Along with the business documents we will need to scan the government issued photo ID of all owners and/or authorized signers on the account.
Business accounts are also opened with a $5.00 minimum deposit.
